Champfleury TT - is an original font. It was created from a scan of a Gothic type based on the general proportion and style of illuminated initials found in manuscripts of the Fifteenth century. This alphabet, in particular, is based on the Champfleury of Geofroy Tory, printed in Paris in 1529. I created the small caps alphabet by scanning capitals and reworking them in Fontographer 3.5.1. The shape and detail of each individual letter has been slightly modified to create a uniform, slightly neo-gothic and practical feel to the alphabet.
